Corporate Matching: The Power of Giving
There are numerous companies that take a very active role in their employees’ philanthropic giving – it is called Corporate Matching Program. Some companies match their employees’ donation dollar-for-dollar and others make a grant to the employees’ favourite charity based upon the employees’ volunteerism.

Donate in Memory
Make a donation in memory of a family member, friend or colleague and Inn from the Cold will send a special thank you letter on your behalf acknowledging your donation. You or the person that you designate will also receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation.

Honour someone special or celebrate a special occasion by making a donation to Inn from the Cold. We will send a special thank you letter on your behalf acknowledging your donation. You or the person that you designate will also receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation.
To make a tribute gift, please print our donation form, check the appropriate type of tribute gift and provide the information required to acknowledge your gift. Include this form with your donation and submit it to the Inn by one of the means listed above.
Donating Securities
A gift of publicly listed securities provides an innovative and creative way to make a charitable gift and can often help fund a larger gift than you might otherwise be able to make. Securities can include stocks, bonds, bills, warrants and mutual funds.
Gifts of publicly listed securities are becoming increasingly popular, as federal and provincial incentives make it very attractive to donate publicly listed securities that have appreciated in value. Please click here to see an example of the savings you will receive donating publicly traded securities versus cash. To facilitate the transfer process, please take these initial steps:
- Contact your financial broker or advisor and let them know of your intentions. There may be some additional authorizations that they require that we cannot facilitate.
- Contact the Inn office to confirm your intention to donate.
- Please note that electronic delivery of securities is not an immediate process, there is usually a two- to 10-day wait for shares and 10-30 days for mutual funds.
