Who's in with the Inn! is designed to celebrate Inn from the Cold's corps of tremendous volunteers! Join us in recognizing the accomplishments of all our volunteers, and the work of a few volunteers in particular.
Inn from the Cold's Volunteer Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of volunteers who, through their volunteerism, have made a significant difference in the lives of Calgary's homeless families and others in need. This second annual event will be held on September 16th at St. Stephen's Anglican Church - 1121, 14th Ave SW.
Award Categories
Youth Service Award - Recognizes youth who have made a difference in the lives of homeless families through their commitment to volunteerism, either at the Emergency Family Shelter or at the Temporary Emergency Shelter (community) program.
Individual Service Award - Recognizes an individual volunteer for outstanding commitment and service to Inn from the Cold.
Team Service Award - Recognizes the outstanding effort and commitment of a team of volunteers.
Award for Outstanding Leadership - Recognizes an Inn Coordinator or Team Leader who demonstrates excellence and innovation in the management and leadership of volunteers.
Family Service Award - Recognizes the contribution of time by a family volunteering together. To be considered in this category, nominees must volunteer with at least one family member.
Corporate Service Award - Recognizes a corporation or company that has demonstrated innovation and leadership in workplace volunteerism and commitment to Inn from the Cold and its mission.
Volunteer in Profile Award - Recognizes an individual who has made a lasting and significant contribution to Inn from the Cold and Calgary's homeless community. The individual's commitment and demonstrated initiative, as well as the length of their service, will be taken into consideration.
Nomination Process
All volunteers and Inn from the Cold staff are welcome to nominate candidates. You may nominate as many individuals and teams as you would like. However, an individual or team may only be nominated in one category, and nominees must meet the criteria established for each award. The deadline for nominations is August 9th, 2010 at 5:00p.m.

Selection Process
All nominations are thoroughly reviewed by a selection committee of volunteers. Committee members are chosen based upon their volunteer involvement and represent the diversity of Inn from the Cold's volunteers.
Nominations are kept confidential. Award recipients are selected on the basis of their commitment and contributions to Inn from the Cold and the criteria outlined for each specific award category. Length of volunteer service is not necessarily a determining factor.
