We foster healing through a holistic approach to well-being, addressing emotional, spiritual, physical and mental needs of families. Homelessness is a traumatic experience. We support families in achieving self-sufficiency through the many specialized programs.

We are a housing-first agency.

Calgary’s limited rental housing supply means families are spending an average of 36 – 40 days in our Emergency Family Shelter before finding themselves at home.

During their stay in shelter, we encourage families to access case managers who are able to connect them to the right resources in order for the family to address the barriers that are preventing them from finding housing. Families have also have access to on-site general and pediatric medical care, mental health support, occupational therapy appointments, dental care, prenatal and post-partum care, and many programs encouraging the overall wellbeing of each family member.

Once families move into appropriate housing, they have access to a variety of supports to meet the unique needs of each family member and the family unit as a whole. These supports include individualized case management, peer-support networks, agency referrals and community resources.

Child and family homelessness is growing at an alarming rate and we are working to create a community where no child or family is homeless.

Thank you for sharing our vision.
