We are always looking for ways to help more families as well as to expand our current programs; a legacy gift made today allows Inn from the Cold to help families for tomorrow.
A legacy gift, usually known as a planned gift, is made with the intention of leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. It provides a way for you to address your philanthropic intentions within your estate plans. When planned properly, legacy gifts can also contribute to significant tax savings.
Apart from a gift in your will, there are other ways to leave a legacy gift, which include adding Inn from the Cold as a beneficiary of your Life Insurance, RRSP, RRIF or Securities – whichever option you choose, you can feel good that your gift will be helping us to serve families experiencing homelessness.
A legacy gift is a gesture that must be carefully considered and planned. No matter how much you choose to leave, you will make a significant difference in the lives of the children and the families that we help at Inn from the Cold, as they move forward from homelessness into a brighter future.
The first step is planning. You may wish to work with a lawyer and/or financial advisor to develop an estate plan to ensure your wishes are carried out as intended. If you have an existing will, it can be updated and changed at any time to reflect your current wishes and plans.
