The Inn began out of a community concern for the growing number of people facing homelessness during the bitterly cold winter.
We proudly acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern AB. This includes: the Blackfoot Confederacy, made up of the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations; the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, comprised of the Chiniki Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also the homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
Inn from the Cold is a positive space. We are committed to being a leader in supporting and honouring the diversity and inclusivity of the people, organizations, and communities we serve. We strive to reach out to and welcome everyone so that we may support, strengthen, benefit from and contribute to our community's richness and complexity.
