ENMAX Fall Fair sprinkles pixie dust and a whole lot of magic on families

By 12 September 2017News

The ENMAX community in Calgary is made up of about 1800 people. On Saturday, September 9, that community included 30 families from Inn from the Cold when ENMAX invited children and parents to join them at their annual Fall Fair.

It was a gesture of community building and inclusivity. One that put smiles on faces, burgers and hot dogs in tummies and sticky pink cotton candy on fingers eager to dig into the sugary deliciousness. It was a day to be enchanted by fairytale princesses, bounce to your heart’s content in giant bouncy castles and, for the more adventurous and brave, to soar high in one of the ENMAX bucket trucks.

Events like this is what our community is made of – people opening their doors to help out neighbours in need by serving up good food, fun times, and community, all sprinkled with a touch of pixie dust and magic.

For the families from Inn from the Cold, Saturday was a day to kickback, have fun and just be part of something that, even if just for a little while, helped them forget the challenges of homelessness while they played together as a family.

Thank you ENMAX community for your gracious caring and giving. Your ongoing support of vulnerable children and families makes the world a better place.
