The Staff Team and Board of Directors at Inn from the Cold are deeply concerned about the plight of those impacted by the disaster in Fort McMurray. As a Family Shelter we have officially committed to providing assistance to families who have been impacted by evacuation. Provincial authorities and emergency management representatives have been advised of our support. On an immediate basis, Inn from the Cold can offer emergency shelter for up to 75 individuals. We serve adults with children in their care and pregnant women. Inn from the Cold can provide comprehensive emergency shelter and basic needs services, along with primary medical care, triage, counselling, and housing assistance. Any family who is seeking emergency shelter due to evacuation may contact our Intake Team to access services. Our hearts and thoughts are with all of those who are currently experiencing this terrible crisis.
