What happens when you bring together 160 men and women with a passion for playing golf and making a difference? Lots of fun. Some great stories about the hole-in-one that didn’t quite make it into the cup. And, a significant contribution to improving the lives of vulnerable children in our community.
This year’s 10th annual Business Fore Calgary Kids Golf Tournament held at the Glencoe Golf & Country Club is a perfect example of what a small group of committed people can do to ensure children have what it takes to grow up resilient and strong. Your generosity will ensure children have access to the housing, supports and vital resources, such as someone to listen to them and a shoulder to lean on, when family trauma such as homelessness disrupts their lives.
Inn from the Cold was honoured to be one of four charities sharing in the collective $277,871 raised at the event. These monies are vital to sustain our continued efforts to provide children who enter our family emergency shelter access to housing, nutritious food, clothing, medical care and education.
Ending family homelessness is a community affair. As demonstrated by everyone involved in Business Fore Calgary Kids Golf Tournament, together we can end family homelessness.
Thank you to the Founders, sponsors, volunteers, and all the golfers who came out to raise funds for The Distress Centre, Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, YW of Calgary and Inn from the Cold. Your passion, compassion and contribution matter. Your caring means we can provide better care to the children and families we serve. Thank youYour contributions matter.
